March 3rd we came back from an amazing trip from the States! We had a time of our lives while connecting with friends and meeting new friends. Every time when someone ask us how was our time we always say, “There’s so much in God’s creation than what we see. it still doesn’t make sense to me how God has the whole world in His hands when America on it’s own is so Massive!! Like WOW .” Our world view has completely changed, we see things on a different perspective. This can be quite surprising but being in the States for 3+ weeks really made us appreciate life and be more content with what God has blessed us with. He is BIG and He has great plans for all of us His children!

RE- ENTRY

When we got to the eSwatini border we submitted our passports and the lady gave us a funny look and we looked at each other. She did everything and then came to our side and asked us to follow her. There was this strange silence and no one said anything to us. well, we followed her. We got to this room with 2 nurses all covered with face masks and gloves. In my mind I started panicking because I thought they will take us away for 14 days and that would mean us not seeing our kids for 14 MORE DAYS!! I started praying in my panic as they asked to check our temperatures. Heavens! we were safe to go!!

That’s when it rang in my mind that times have changed. We received calls every 3rd day from the department of health checking on us and asking if we have any symptoms. This happened until the 13th day. Just when we were celebrating our victory, we saw a post on the side of the road about eSwatini’s 1st confirmed case! We’ve been praying and hoping that we do not get exposed to this virus because our Kingdom is so small and do not have all the funds needed to fight this pandemic. We then saw a need to pray even more  because it is a perfect opportunity for us to draw even closer to our Father and trust Him for divine intervention. It has been extra hard following all the advice that we get from our health system. they say we must use hand sanitizer or use soap and clean water and frequently wash our hands. I am so grateful that I can afford all that but when I think about our family in the villages my heart sink in deep sorrow because I know this is almost impossible for them because some do not even have clean water. They do not have enough soap to last them for even a week. Here in eSwatini families range from 7 and above people in one house/homestead.

We do not lose hope because God has promised to never leave us nor forsake us (Deut. 31:6)

PARTIAL LOCKDOWN

Our King has declared a 20 days partial lockdown that will start on the 27th of this month. This will help us lower the curve and hopefully the virus will be manageable. It is sad though to think that more people will be unemployed and more people might die from starving. It is sad to think that I cannot dish that extra plate for our friend/ stranger that God would lead to our house for a meal. BUT the good side is that we will spend more time together as a family. I am looking forward to our worship and devotions and all the fun games! I am also looking forward to all the cries and laughter from our kids!

AOH (Ambassadors of Hope)

With all this craziness with the pandemic we have decided NOT to start the program till further notice. We are following the new law in eSwatini and also considering the safety of our students. We will continue to pray for our students and mention their names one by one while waiting upon the Lord for His perfect timing.

PRAYER REQUESTS
